Kelsey Murphy, Veterinary Assistant
Kelsey Murphy was born and raised in Yavapai County as a member of a ranching family that has been in the area for many generations. Her parents moved her into the city when she was two years old and raised her with combined life values, taking her to ranches where their friends and family worked. To this day, on her days off she likes to go out to ranches to lend a hand.
Kelsey has wanted to be in the veterinary field since she was young. She loved animals especially the large animals, like the horses and cows, and of course, companion animals like dogs and cats. Her primary goal was to be in the large animal field and when Prescott Animal Hospital Equine Center gave her a job opportunity as a hospital assistant she jumped at the chance. Working there for two years, she found it to be a wonderful learning experience. When Circle L Animal Hospital called, she thought it would be another great experience. Kelsey started as a Hospital Assistant the end of 2012; and due to her great work, by March of 2013 was promoted to her current Veterinary Assistant position.
While not out at the ranches, Kelsey enjoys working horses and immersing herself in the outdoors with her partner in crime/best friend. She loves to go out shooting, hunting and going to ropings.
